Dear CISD Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,
The first day of school is August 4, and we’re excited to welcome our students back!
Onsite registration will take place on July 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Cuba High School cafeteria. We will have a new online registration process for existing students, which will be sent to the parent email address on file. Here are a few important updates for this school year:
- The district is moving to a 4-day week. This shift is intended to support improved student attendance and to reduce the amount of time students spend on the bus. The calendar is available online.
- The district will once again provide school supplies for all students.
- We will not be providing backpacks this year. Students are welcome to bring their own, clear backpacks are not required.
- Lockers will be assigned to middle and high school students to store their personal items during the day.
- In accordance with Senate Bill 11 (2025), cell phones and similar electronic devices will not be allowed during instructional time district-wide. This law is designed to minimize distractions and support academic success.
We appreciate your partnership in creating a focused and positive learning environment for all students.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic school year!
