UC Boulder Presentations 8/4/22

The Boulder Student Researcher program is hosting student presentations Thursday August 4th, 10-11:30am in the *Cuba Middle School Cafeteria*. Families, community members and students are invited to our student presentations.

CHS New Student Orientation 8/4/22

Cuba High School New Student Orientation, Aug. 4th, Thursday, 6:30 PM, Cafeteria. All new students and parents/guardians are welcome!

Remote Learning 7/29/22

CISD will be in remote learning Friday 7/29/22 due to muddy road conditions. This is a mandatory attendance day, just in remote learning.

Remote Learning 7/28/22

Due to muddy conditions in all areas the CISD buses cannot safely run the routes, therefore all students K-12 will be in remote education on Thursday July 28th.  Buses wull run Friday July 29th for grades 6th thru 12th grades.

Remote Learnung Update

CISD Parents/Guardians/Students, All Elementary students will be in remote education until Monday August 1st, and all 6th thru 12th graders will be back to onsite this Thursday July 28th, and Friday July 29th. As parents you are always welcome to keep your kids remote, but you must sign permission that you are requesting remote learning for your kids.

Early Release July 25, Remote school July 26 & 27

Parents/Guardians/Students: Due to a large outbreak of COVID in all three schools, we will be sending all students home at 1:00pm today, there will not be in person school this Tuesday July 26th, or July 27th, 2022.  All the classes will be held remotely and a Zoom link will be sent to your student by this afternoon. Remote class on Tuesday begins at 10:00am to 2:00pm and Wednesday at 8:00am to 2:00pm. If you have questions please call your child's school at (575) 289-3211 follow the prompts to get to the schools.  Students are back on site on Thursday July 28th.  It is imperative that you do not send your student to school if they are showing any symptoms of illness. At this time every student except new students should have a starlink so students can connect to remote schools.

Illnesses in

Parents/Guardians/Students. Important: do not send your students to school if they have any illness or symptoms, including running noises, coughing, fever, stomach aches. Call in and we will excuse your student or they can work from home remotely. We are seeing high spreed of COVID illness. We ask that you call the nurses offices for assistance.

School Supplies

Parents/Guardians/Students: Cuba ISD will be providing all school supplies, and clear backpacks for all students in our district.

Summer Programs: K5+ & ELTP

Just a reminder that all CISD students are to be in attendance, for the ELTP programs. K5-Plus began July 1st and goes until August 5th, and 6th graders thru 12th graders are in school July 18th, thru July 29th,  Students must attend in person, online remote, and/or do a project approved by the school principal. These are attendance days and if you students are not in school you will be receiving a call from us.

Student Internships

CISD Parents/ Students/ Families, All students who are in high school and "eligible 8th graders" are doing PAID internships in line with their career plan.  Students do not get paid to come to school, they get paid to do career internships.  In August of 2022-2023, all high school and eligible 8th grade students will be allowed to participate in the paid internships.  If you have questions please call Dr. Sanchez-Griego at (505) 977-7662
